info@easybranches.comAbout MIG 45
Mig Marine is a brand born on the banks of the Tiber River where many other important marine industrial initiatives have come to life. Even its name brings with it the story of a lively shipbuilding environment, characterized by a competition that from the placid waters of the river of Rome led to battles at sea with the sound of knots more for one or the other.
MIG, as everyone knows, is the name of a series of combat aircraft produced in the former USSR, acronym of Mikoyan I ("and" in Russian) Gurevich, the designers of these aircraft. In the 80s there was already another historic shipyard on the shore of the Tiber, Tornado, as the multi-role fighter with variable geometry wing developed in a joint program between West Germany, UK and Italy. The management of the shipyard at that time wanted to emphasize this competition by choosing the name MIG, as its name, that of its counterpart on the other side of the Wall.
Stories of shipyards that would have been a shame to lose. This was avoided by an entrepreneur who was passionate about fast motorboats who kept all the good things of the "Mig Marine" project and projecting it into a new future. He detected the plans, moulds and equipment needed to be able to start production of the new MIGs based on current quality and safety concepts. In order to succeed in this ambitious project, a team of designers and engineers have redesigned everything except the water lines, which have always proved to be valid for performance and watertight, so much so that they were chosen in the past by Adriano Panatta, known not only for his great international successes on the tennis courts, but also for his passion for off-shore racing.
In fact, with his MIG 38 he won the Venice- Montecarlo with a second place overall and a first in his category. oday the shipyard is going through a season of renewal, not only in terms of its projects, but also in its medium and long-term vision, with boats capable of attracting once again the general public passionate about quality Mediterranean open boats.
