At 141 feet, the ISA Alloy 43 series is in the LOA range where most megayacht clients currently own and/or buy. With an abundance of yacht builders addressing it, competition is tough. But, ISA Yachts believes this new aluminum series will succeed in attracting customers wanting sporty looks and moderate cruising speeds. Hull number one, Agora III, has already done so, acquired by a repeat customer.

Featuring all-aluminum construction, the ISA Alloy 43 keeps faithful to her name. Similarly, she keeps faithful to a family look. In fact, she incorporates styling elements you can find on the nearly three dozen ISA deliveries so far. Part of that is due to styling by Luca Dini Design, along with naval architecture by Francesco Rogantin. ISA Yachts has always had a penchant for sporty, automotive styling, a fondness that Dini shares. You’ll see the influence aboard Agora III particularly in the gull-wing doors of her wheelhouse, for instance. The air-intake grills are reminiscent of those on sports cars, too. Even the aft curve of the superstructure recalls sports car looks.

In terms of performance, Agora III isn’t meant for blistering speeds, unlike the Ferraris and other famous Italian automobiles. But, that suits her owner just fine. He appreciates the reported top end of 20 knots and cruising speed of 18 knots, under MTU power. Those are plenty to get him where he wants to go. So, too, is the reported 3,500-nautical-mile range at 12 knots. He further requested additional sound and vibration reduction, for more comfortable no matter what speed. With a draft just shy of 7’6” (2.3 meters), Agora III is ideal for some shallows, too.

The owner wanted a striking yet serene, refined atmosphere inside the yacht. A party of 10 enjoy lounges, dining areas, and more enhanced with dark and light woods, a variety of stones (even on walls), and silks. Fold-down balconies enhance the enjoyment in the saloon (at top), too. On a related note, while the saloon and formal dining room are distinct areas, the five full-height wood dividers, with stowage, still let you see between them, and let light pass through.

Another special design request: Agora III has both a desk and a daybed in entry to the owner’s suite. Even with the work desk, however, the owner seems to prioritize relaxation. This is because Agora III further has an inviting settee as well as a reading lounge in proximity to the bed (above).

Enjoy this armchair tour of the megayacht. You’ll see the skylounge, which can become a cinema thanks to a retractable TV. You’ll also see a handful of alfresco areas, and the beach club.  (Click any of the images below for a pop-out slideshow.) Interestingly, Agora III will enjoy Japanese waters, where her owner cruised with his previous yacht, too. Even more interesting, she’ll be the largest megayacht in those waters. Perhaps she will succeed in getting other Asian customers to take a step up in size.
