Outfitting activities are advancing at The Italian Sea Group’s Marina di Carrara shipyard for the third 53-metre motor yacht in the Admiral 50 series, part of the semi-custom Admiral line.
The yard says construction of the hull and superstructure is progressing according to the production schedule so far. Installation and optimisation of onboard systems are ongoing, and will be followed by the outfitting phase. The Italian Sea Group (TISG) focuses on “semi-custom production,” exclusively using aluminium in its yachts.
The Admiral 53m superyacht has an innovative e-Motion hybrid propulsion system. This system comprises two MAN diesel engines, four variable-speed generators, two permanent magnet electric motors, and a large lithium polymer battery pack. The propulsion system allows several operational modes, including using the diesel main engines and electric alternators to supply power for all onboard services during navigation, with the generators switched off while the batteries recharge.
