Austin Parker made quite the splash at the Cannes Yachting Festival this week.
The Italian yard didn’t just unveil one superyacht, but two entirely new lines. The Unica range includes three catamarans measuring 58 feet (pictured top), 68 feet, and 78 feet, while the Iconica collection comprises three navetta yachts spanning 77 feet, 88 feet, and 100 feet. All
Both lines were penned by Pininfarina and De Simoni Yacht Design. The notable Italian studios, which recently set up a joint boutique in the yachting mecca of Porto Lotti, started working with Austin Parker a few years ago and have helped develop a distinctive design DNA for the yard.
Both Unica and Iconica blend classic Italian style with modern tech. Drawing inspiration from the CAT56 that was introduced at Cannes last year, the newcomers strike a perfect balance between sporty and chic. The inaugural six vessels showcase sleek, elegant exteriors with aerodynamic profiles and a new, signature A-shaped hardtop support.
The models will incorporate green innovations such as solar panels to minimize environmental impact and state-of-the-art navigation systems to improve the cruising experience. Each will also be outfitted with premium materials and luxurious furnishings. The outdoor decks will be adorned pieces from the Segno collection Pininfarina designed for Reflex, for instance.
The Unica multihulls are designed to offer a “unique,” one-of-a-kind experience on the sea. The cats feature spacious living areas with large windows that illuminate all within. The interior and exterior spaces are seamlessly connected, enabling seafarers to navigate the vessels with ease. Each Unica is als adorned with a lavish, full-beam owner’s suite.
The navettas of the Iconica series will boast some of the largest dimensions in class, according to Austin Parker. The yachts will have expansive, light-filled living areas and sprawling exterior decks. The range-topping Iconica 100 includes an epic two-level aft entrance. The lower deck is equipped with the guest cabins, while the upper deck is home to the generous main salon and an owner’s suite with private terrace. To top it off, the 100 has a loft-style beach club with direct access to the sea.
“Austin Parker’s new range of yachts represents our commitment to innovation, luxury, and sustainability,” Austin Parker president Baris Nalcaci said in a statement.
The Unica 58 will be in the water at Cannes from September 10 to 15. Austin Parker will also have a scale model of the new Iconica 100 on display at the show.
