Volvo Penta has expanded its range of remanufactured drivelines for marine customers, now including complete engines D13, D8, D4, and D6, as well as the full Inboard Performance System (IPS) range. This expansion aims to improve customer experience by offering swift delivery of remanufactured products that are easy to install, all supported by the Volvo Penta Genuine Parts warranty.
With this expanded offering, Volvo Penta will provide complete remanufactured engines with increased availability. The D13 and D8 engines have been available since the first half of 2024, with the D4 and D6 engines expected to be available in autumn 2024. The remanufacturing process reuses up to 60% of components and can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 56% compared to the production of new engines.
For the first time, customers can purchase a complete propulsion package with a remanufactured Volvo Penta IPS driveline. These remanufactured drives are produced on the same production line as new units, maintaining the same quality and performance, and are covered by the Volvo Penta Genuine Parts warranty.
