Pardo GT75 To Debut At Cannes Yachting Festival

Italian yacht builder Cantiere Del Pardo has announced the Pardo GT75 as one of three new sail and powerboat models to launch this September.

Measuring at just over 75 feet, the GT75 features spacious, luxury interiors comparable to a villa on the sea, says the builder. The vessel has a beam of 19.6 feet, and a shallow-water-friendly draft of 3.4 feet.

Not terribly long ago, the team at Edmiston excitedly announced that "for the first time ever-possibly the only time-two of the world's finest classic yachts,  Haida  and  Malahne , are available for charter in the Caribbean."

It was an announcement nearly a century in the making. The 233-foot  Haida  was built in 1929 and had gone through a 16-month restoration that included modernizations to systems such as air conditioning. The 164-foot  Malahne  was a 1937 build whose 30-month refit brought the yacht back to its original looks, albeit with enhancements including modern fire-suppression and electrical systems.

The MJM 4 is the pinnacle of the Carolina Downeast open-bow performance day yacht with her unmatched capabilities and smoothness of ride. She marks a level of efficiency, stability, and comfort found in no other model in class.

It's a milestone few boatbuilders ever achieve, but as Viking Yacht Company celebrated its much-heralded 60th anniversary on April 1, 2024, it announced the introduction of its latest sport-fisherman: the 82 Convertible.

"We've taken a boat that has been proclaimed by the sport-fishing community as the most successful 80-foot sportfish boat ever and improved upon it," says Viking President and CEO Pat Healey, referring to the previous model in the company's lineup.

A flurry of yachts-including several newer builds-have just entered the fleet. Five notables are now available for charter in the West Mediterranean, with plenty of time left to book itineraries.

The high season is over at the end of August, but with nice weather, the cruising in some parts of the region can be terrific well into October.
