Pershing 82 VHP: Asking Price $3.79 Million

Pershing Yachts and speed go hand in hand, and the builder’s 82 VHP—Very High Performance—model accentuates this trait even more. Phoenix Rising is a 2017 Pershing 82 VHP listed with Allied Marine for just shy of $3.8 million. The three-stateroom flybridge cruiser has an entertainment-friendly layout and a staggering 50-plus-knot top speed.

“This vessel is not only a powerhouse of speed but also an oasis of comfort and style. With an array of recent upgrades and meticulous care, it offers an extraordinary yachting experience,” says listing broker Allied Marine.

Palm Beach GT50: Asking Price $1.49 Million

Keal Over , a 2019 Palm Beach GT50, is a performance cruiser sized for the cruising couple. Stay out all weekend, stay out all week. Keal Over has a max speed of 40-plus knots with a range of 350 nautical miles, making it ideal for island hopping or weekend cruises with friends and family. Keal Over ’s owners are asking $1.499 million.

“Palm Beach maximizes salon space with a galley-down design. There’s a head with a shower that’s twice the size I’d expect to see on a boat of this nature. The two staterooms are similarly spacious. While many builders would try to add a third stateroom, Palm Beach instead kept the interior areas relatively open. It’s a smart move on a yacht that’s most likely to be used for day cruising and weekending with a couple or two aboard,” Yachting previously reported.

Marlow 97 Explorer: Asking price $4.295 Million

When Marlow Yachts first introduced the 97E in 2011, it was the builder’s largest model at the time, with only the 100 Voyager surpassing it today. The 97-foot long-range cruiser was built using Marlow’s proprietary Full Stack Infusion lamination process and has a Bureau Veritas unrestricted navigation certificate. Agave is a 2011 Marlow 97 Explorer currently listed with HMY Yachts for $4.295 million.

Twin 1,800 hp Caterpillar C32B diesels allow Agave to sprint at 29 knots and cruise between 23 and 24 knots. Marlow says owners should expect a 950-nautical-mile range cruising at 25 knots, while slowing to 9 knots increase the 97E’s maximum range to 4,000 nautical miles. It’s worth noting the engines currently have 1,450 hours on them.

Ava Yachts Kando 110: Asking Price $7.9 Million

For owners looking to move into a crewed- yacht experience or a yacht with charter potential, consider Lady Caroline . The 2021 AvA Yachts Kando 110-foot tri-deck motoryacht features a six-stateroom layout capable of sleeping 12 and a 6,400-plus-nautical-mile range. It is currently listed with Gilman Yachts for $7.9 million.

“[ Lady Caroline ’s] owner will have no problem finding and maintaining a good crew,” AvA Yachts says. “The captain’s cabin is generously proportioned and positioned behind the wheelhouse and a crew area aft of the engine room offers accommodation, bathroom facilities, a crew galley and mess area that’s well above what would typically be expected.”

Sunreef 60: Asking Price $4.7 Million

The Sunreef 60 Power Catamaran has a superyacht -size beam of 35 feet, which translates to home-size living spaces on a 60-footer. HMY Yacht Sales currently has Nero , a 2022 Sunreef 60, listed with a $4.695 million price tag.

“ Nero is the most highly customized Sunreef 60 Power Catamaran that has launched to date,” HMY says. “No expense was spared by her owners in the development of her machinery spaces, galley, stateroom layouts and appointments, and absolute top of the line electronic equipment and tender choices.”

Refitting Electronics On a Used Yacht

Hindsight has ways of revealing genius—or at least seriously good luck. Well-known examples include buying Apple, Google or Microsoft IPO stock; buying real estate two or three decades ago; and given the lack of inventory and the build times these days, taking delivery of (and sea-trialing) one’s dream yacht in mid-2019. Shy of this last feat, today’s smart money is often on finding a high-quality brokerage yacht and refitting it to modern electronics standards.

Take, for example, a 75-footer that was recently refitted at Seattle’s S3 Maritime. The yacht arrived with a 10-year-old marine-electronics system that was functional. It left with a fully modern networked system that included three 24-inch touchscreen multifunction displays that formed a contemporary glass-bridge helm. Better still, the owner enjoyed the cruising season, rather than waiting for a new whip to arrive.
