Sunreef Yachts has revealed details and renders of its new 40M Explorer model, designed to take its owners further off the beaten track.
The Polish boatbuilder says that with slimmer, more efficient hulls, the new 40M Explorer takes less energy to propel at speed through the water. This is aided by Sunreef’s light composite build and a state-of-the-art electric powertrain.
Sunreef’s proprietary solar skin is designed to convert every external surface of the yacht’s hull and superstructure into a power source, generating enough power to run every system on board, from the air con and the icemakers to the jacuzzi and the audiovisual equipment.
A large bathing platform aft transforms into a beach club for lounging, a watersports launchpad or a dive shop, depending on requirements. Fold-down wings broaden the platform to run around the corner of the boat.
