Sea Ray Sundancer 60: Asking Price $769,999

Three Sons, a Sea Ray Sundancer 60, is listed for sale with Atlantic Yacht & Ship and has an asking price of $769,999. The 2008, 34-knot-plus express cruiser has cruising accommodations for six within its three-stateroom layout.

Three Sons is powered by twin 1,100 hp MAN V-10 diesels, which is the same propulsion setup Yachting experienced during our initial sea trial of the Sea Ray Sundancer 60.

“With the luck of the draw, winds and seas were such that running offshore would have been at best unpleasant. Even the Intracoastal Waterway was stirred up, but the 60 had no problem slicing through the chop,” Yachting previously reported. “She came up evenly on a plane with no appreciable bow rise. Her two 1,100 hp electronically controlled, common-rail MAN diesels reached maximum turns in approximately 30 seconds without hesitation or clouds of black smoke, and I recorded a maximum speed of 34.8 knots.”

Yachting’s initial review of the Viking 93 Motor Yacht reported how the New Jersey boatbuilder’s flagship model was based on its 75 Motor Yacht’s design, but also drew inspiration from a Viking owner’s Westport 112.

“One Viking owner also has a Westport, and Viking’s designers and top brass spent a good amount of time on board that yacht learning how to nail down the needs of owners in that size range. What Viking developed from that experience is a boat built for socializing, one that lets hands-on owners feel at home while enjoying mega-yacht features.”

Westport 112: Asking Price $4.95 Million

Few, if any, yacht designs have as long and interesting a timeline as the Westport 112 motor yacht. This model’s longevity is due entirely to its popularity with buyers, as evidenced by the nearly 70 hulls built, which was previously reported by Yachting. Eclipse is powered by twin MTU 16v2000 DDEC diesel engines with a combined horsepower of 3,600, easily pushing this yacht to a cruising speed of 22 knots with a top-end speed of 25 knots. Back it down to 12 knots, and the cruising range for Eclipse will be around 1,800 nautical miles with the yacht’s 5,500-gallon fuel capacity.

Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht: Asking Price $1.2 Million

The Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht Escapade combines the Australian builder’s passion for sturdy seakeeping with some deluxe — dare we say European — touches, which was previously reported in Yachting. Escapade is my style of yacht. Not too big, not too small, and easy to navigate as an owner-operator. Based out of Australia, 45 percent of Riviera’s business are Australian citizens who prefer to change their own fuel filters, change their own oil and complete other regular maintenance tasks on their own.

What’s the best spot on Escapade ? I prefer the helm. With near-360-degree views and top-notch navigation equipment, the 54-foot Escapade is a dream to handle. Twin 725 hp Volvo Penta diesel engines will quickly propel this yacht to a max speed of 33.1 knots, but 23 knots (about 2,100 rpm) is the most economical cruising speed, burning a respectable 51 gph. If I need to hold the boat in position while a bridge opens, Escapade features the Volvo Penta Dynamic Positioning System, which will hold its station with the touch of a button.

The Azimut Grande S10 Latitude is listed with MarineMax Miami Yachts for $5.9 million. Latitude is a privately used 94-foot-3-inch yacht that has been fully maintained by its full-time captain and crew and is priced to sell.

Azimut Grande S10 designers were inspired by Malibu beach-house terraces with multiple decks that descend to the sand, which was previously reported in Yachting. Designers created about 550 square feet of outdoor space on the S10, including 150 square feet of foredeck, 215 square feet of flybridge, and 183 square feet of aft deck, not including the fold-down bathing platform.

Outer Reef Yachts 860 DBMY: Asking Price $5.95 Million

Outer Reef Yachts has Insignia , an Outer Reef 860 DBMY, listed for sale with an asking price of $5.95 million. The 2017 Deluxe Bridge Motor Yacht is a vessel with a serious, long-range-cruising pedigree.

The layout includes three staterooms for owners and guests as well room for three crew.

The 860 DBMY is built to go the distance via its hand laid-up FRP hull with PVC core sandwich construction above the water line. For the hull bottom, there is solid fiberglass.

Guests will instantly sense warmth and volume walking into the 86-footer’s salon with its smartly-placed furniture, cherrywood finishes and waist-to-ceiling windows running the length of the salon. A three-person bar is immediately to port, with a coffee table and L-shaped sofa forward, and a lounge chair to starboard.
