A large sportfish owner has totally different operational goals than that of a large express cruiser owner, and the captains of both cited genres of course follow suit. I have always told buyers that they should be represented by a broker that specializes and only lives in their segment of interest. They should have real-life (user) experience within their specific segment and be able to provide the buyer accurate information on each brand within, all while listening to the buyer’s intended mission.
As with anything in life, there is a person that is a leader in their segment, and you will know with just a bit of research who that is. Do yourself a favor and find that person, and you will get the boat that not only suits your needs but will allow you to harness not just their knowledge, and have the support of the specialized connections only a leader in your genre of product can provide.”
