RIO: A closer look onboard CRN's 62m superyacht
First announced in early 2018 with a teaser line drawing that hinted at a sporty exterior, elongated bow and dramatic sheer, Rio was destined to be something unique for the Italian shipyard CRN. Featuring exterior design and interior architecture from Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, the yacht, which was delivered in May last year, is an evolution of a design trait Laupman has been playing with for years.
Video: Building the first Columbus 42 Crossover at Palumbo Savona
Justin Ratcliffe has returned to Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Savona, Italy, a year after his first visit to the new-build and refit facility. At the time they were about to begin work on the first Columbus 42 Crossover, the first explorer ever to have been built by Palumbo. For this second video, Justin finds out more about the build project, the model and the Group's reasoning for delving into the explorer sector. Interviewing Francesco Carbone, General Manager of Palumbo Superyachts, and Sergio Cutolo, the Founder of Hydro Tec, the studio behind the yacht's design, Justin was given a first hand view of one of the most interesting new superyacht series currently under construction.
