This sea school is where you can learn to sail and become a skipper, on our highly regarded Zero to Hero Fast Track courses. Phuket Water Sports Centre @ Ao Yon, Cape Panwa

Cape Panwa’s Ao Yon Beach is a delightful hidden cove where the Phuket Water Sports Centre is located.

The Phuket Water Sports Centre has been formed to encourage tourists, locals and our students, to Go on Water at our fabulous beach location at Ao Yon Beach near by Cape Panwa. Our Water Sports Centre's club house, is located in the middle of Ao Yon beach. Weekend activities include learn to sail courses, day sail excursions by boat and dragon boating or kayaking trips. You can also charter one of our yachts. If you just want to pootle around the bay why not rent a SUP (Stand Up Paddle) or kayak!

Yacht Training

If you want to Learn to Sail a yacht or keelboat you need to join a course to realize your ambition. If you want to own a boat or charter yacht anywhere in the world you need to have completed a Zero to Hero 14 day course which provides you with the certification and skills to do so.

Outdoor Education for International Schools

Outdoor Education is our strong point and we have experience of over thirty years running OE courses all over the world, including Duke of Edinburgh International Award Adventurous Journeys. We have two major sites, one in Krabi province, our river base, the other on Phuket Island at Yon Bay.

Yacht Charter

We charter our yachts out for regattas such as the King’s cup, Phuket Race Week and the One Design Regatta. The Platus are very popular as they are exciting and cheap to charter. We also run day charter with our Farr 1104s and our Trimaran. We supply yachts with with a skipper and crew if required.

Watersports Activity Centre at Ao Yon Phuket

The video below, shows you our almost perfect location, at Ao Yon, on Cape Panwa. Our fleet of 12 yachts and our water sports activity centre are evident in the video. Most of our training and team building happens in this ideal location. Our watersports centre has changing rooms, and amenities right by the beach. Our yachts are anchored only 200 metres off it. Come and visit us if you can and see for yourself what a great location we have at Yon Bay.

Our Yacht Fleet

The yachts we use are really superb training and racing boats. We have a multihull yacht, fast cruiser racers and a fleet of Platus that are the envy of every competitor. The yachts are used for flotilla sailing and training for International schools including International Award expeditions.

The Keelboats are ideal for Team Building and Mini regattas. Our corporate sailing program is well established in Phuket and is popular with banks, insurance companies, lawyers and oil and gas companies.
Yacht Racing Regattas in Thailand

Platus are light weight keelboats that perform well and are very popular yachts for racing in the regattas such as Phuket’s King’s Cup. The Platus are much cheaper to charter than larger yachts so they are extremely popular and our fleet of 7 yachts means we always have our own One Design Racing fleet.

If you want to sail a yacht that performs well you should check out our Farr 1104’s or our J35 One Design as they are fast boats with good IRC handicap ratings.

If multihulls are your passion you can charter our fast trimaran Shanghai baby the Corsair 28. It sails like the wind and is in great shape. Ideal for racing or for short trips around the coast and easy to moor by a lovely beach or even on the beach.
