Phuket's only boat show to be called “Thailand Yacht Show & Rendezvous” In a joint statement issued today by Andy Treadwell, CEO of Verventia Pte Ltd, owners of the Thailand Yacht Show (TYS), Gael and Olivier Burlot, owners of Asia RendezVous, and Gulu Lalvani, Chairman of Royal Phuket Marina, it was announced that the three parties have agreed to collaborate in producing one combined boat show in Phuket next year 10-13 January. The TYBA was represented at the recent Underwater Clean Up day last Sunday the 30th of September. Members of the TYBA joined the MV Dive Asia with a total of 47 people including 42 volunteer divers. A big change for visiting yachts as the restriction is lifted through 2022 "There is a big change in the Andaman Islands of India for visiting yachts… they are no longer restricted by the 30 days stay regulation", reports R. By invitation only, the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous is designed to bring like-minded people together. The Phuket Yacht Show has announced that it will donate a 6 by 3 metre stand inside the exhibition hall for free use by members of the Thai Yachting Business Association during the show. The show has also offered a 10% discount for TYBA members for the in water display and a 20% discount in the exhibition hall. Discounts apply to the rack rate and cannot be used with any other special offer. The inaugural edition of Penang Rendezvous 2018 happened from 26th to 29th July 2018, and has proven to be a successful first event in the state, with many more future editions to come. Over 3,000 visitors from all around the Southeast Asia region graced the event, including the Minister of Tourism in attendance. The Thailand Yachting Symposium brings together key marine industry stakeholders in a two-hour conference format. Informative panel sessions and presentations by speakers from the public and private sectors will provide insight and the opportunity for public-private sector co-operation with the aim to grow boating in Thailand.
